For Windows 7 & Vista Users:
1) Uninstall the PC studio and all samsung related drivers and restart your PC.
(Only restart your PC after uninstalling all samsung related stuffs)
2) Download the New Samsung Studio from the link given below:

3) After downloading, Right click on the PC studio file > properties > compatability > in compatability mode> tick mark "run..." > from drop down menu select " windows service pack 3" > click apply> click ok >

5)After restarting, connect your phone to PC Via PC studio mode and Mass storage mode.. Make sure that your PC internet connection is ON before connecting the phone.. once u connect your phone to PC via both modes, which will automatically install all necessary drivers to your PC.. For Windows XP Users:
If you are facing any PC studio related problem, Just unistall thr PC studio and all samsung related drivers > Restart Your PC > Download the new PC Studio and install it > Restart ur PC > Use it..!!
NOTE: THE ABOVE METHODS CAN BE USED WHEN YOUR PC SHOWS ANY ERROR MESSAGE WHILE UPGRADING YOUR PHONE'S FIRMWARE OR THE DOWNLOAD BUTTON IN MULTILOADER DOESN'T GET ACTIVE WHEN YOU CLICK ON THE PORT SEARCH BUTTON..!!

I am opening another thread from where you can easily find updates about the new firmware releases.. Any one can post only if there is a firmware update..
press *#0*# and u'll get the menu having many options. you can use it to turn on the light (Cam LED)- you can use it as a torch and to view the VGA front camera...
first set a gesture for your message --- for example set as L
then while playing game or while sending in blue tooth if u get a message and u want to reply for that
then follow
1) press the lock key
2)again press it(but don't hold... it ll unlock)
3)write the gesture set for the message ( here L)
4) after completing reading or replying then u can come back to game or b'tooth by pressing the back key
while playing a game holding the back key for 3 sec gives u task manager

again while on desktop or while on any other apllication like message.... media player or whatever.......... holding the back key for 3 sec gives u a simple menu

STEP 2)
* Now you have to check if you have SIM LOCK enabled on your phone.Type *#7465625# and see. SIM LOCK SHOULD BE OFF. Do not proceed if you have it ON, get it to a shop & have it disabled.
*Now it is time to back up the datas (contacts, Messages, All files) of your phone.
(The easiest way to backup your phone would be to Copy all your contacts to sim card and all other datas to ur memory card)
*Now remove the sim card and memory card and put the battery back but DON’T switch ON your phone.
*Now press the 3 buttons together
VOLUME DOWN + CAMERA KEY + POWER KEY (ALL TOGETHER)
*Now your Phone shows a download screen, If yes then do not press any buttons of your phone.. just keep it Idle..
* Now connect phone to your PC via USB.
STEP 3)
* Extract the downloaded Firmware in a folder on your desktop.
*Now run Multiloader.

*CLICK ON AMSS AND LOCATE THIS FILE APPS_COMPRESSED.BIN LOCATED IN UR FIRMWARE FOLDER ON DESKTOP
*CLICK ON RSRC1 AND LOCATE THE .RC1 FILE LOCATED IN UR FIRMWARE FOLDER ON DESKTOP
*CLICK ON RSRC2 AND LOCATE THE .RC2 (LOW) FILE LOCATED IN UR FIRMWARE FOLDER ON DESKTOP
*CLICK ON FACTORY FS AND LOCATE THE .FSS FILE LOCATED IN UR FIRMWARE FOLDER ON DESKTOP
STEP 4)
CLICK ON PORT SEARCH(refer the multiloader image given in the above link) IT WILL SHOW READY AND DOWNLOAD BUTTON WILL ACTIVATE
CLICK ON DOWNLOAD BUTTON AND SIT BACK FIRMWARE WILL B INSTALLED IN UR PHONE NOW DO NOT PRESS ANY KEY ON UR PHN OR SWITCH OFF UR PC.
STEP 5)
AFTER PROCESS COMPLETES JUST WAIT FOR 2 MIN AND REMOVE UR BATTERY AGAIN WAIT FOR 2 MIN AND PUT UR BATTERY BACK & SWITCH ON THE PHONE...........
DIAL *2767*3855# ON KEYPAD AND RESET UR PHONE
CHECK AND ENJOY UR NEW FIRMWARE (*#1234#)
NOTE : Now you can install games and applications directly into your phone by simply transferring the jar & Jad files in to MMC(which is not possible in any of the Indian factory verrsion)… Also This Firmware won’t give you the new menu that you can find in the latest Indian Firmware (S5603DDIG1).. Remaining all features will be same that of your (S5603DDIF1).
Well this is to all who don't know what exactly boot screen modding is.. Just by doing this, when you switch off and switch on the phone, You can see the Android Picture while the phone starts.. Try it, Damn easy.. You don't need to back up your phone..
First download the Rsrc2 file from the link given above and Just follow the steps given below..!!
1) Open the Multiloader and connect your phone to PC via usb.
2)Select Control option as MSM 6275
3) You just need to select the downloaded rsrc2 file through Rsrc2 option in Multiloader...
4)Now Click on port search and click on download..
Once download is finished, the phone automatically boots up with the ANDROID screen.. enjoy..!!
Your phone will show the android screen when you switch on your phone..!!
1) press *#6984125*#
2) Go to INTERNALS.
3) put master key *#9072641*#
4) go to DEBUG SETTINGS.
5) go to CHIP.
6) turn MEGACHIPS ON (by default it's modem on).
Explanation Given By them!!!!!!!!
Actually it is Assisted GPS via modem which is on by default....Megachip is the GPS Chip which is not in use in default setting.
After it has been done go to REBOOT to reboot your phone...then on restart open Google Maps....exact location is shown now without blue circle if you are in OPEN AREAS.
3. Samsung PC Studio : You must have got it with your brand new Samsung star 3G
Steps to Unlock Star 3G:
Step 1.Connect Your Star 3G handset in PC Studio Mode
Step 2. Open Samsung PC Studio & Disconnect your Phone from software by right clicking the icon of phone. (Not from your USB)
Above step is must don’t open TK file explorer before that.
Step 3. Open TK File explorer
Go To >> Settings
Select COM Port whatever available as shown in figure & Keep rest things as it is. Click OK.
Step 4.Go To FILE >>Connect
Then the bottom dialogue box will open.
Go To> EXE > Java > Games
Step 5 : Create new folder in Games of the name of your Java Game or App. E.g, Opera
Then Open it (It must be blank) >> Then copy paste your JAR & JAD file there. (You can also navigate from upside dialog box & then download it. Its complicated, so better Copy & Paste)
And that’s it repeat same steps if you want to add more. Then GO to File >> Disconnect
Now you can remove Your Samsung star 3G from USB
Step 6 :
On your keypad type code : *#6984125*#
Then from the list Select > Internals
Then Enter following password or unlock code there *#9072641*# touch Confirm.
Then Select > Storage Mode
Now first click Update Java DB
Then scroll down & click Update Apps Database
Guess What You are done ….
Go back to your phone & application >> Games & More & you ll see your new apps or game appearing & working cool with your star 3G Device.
